There was a time when seeing one’s life flash before one’s eyes was a precursor of one’s demise. Nowadays it simply means you’ve got your screen saver on slide show!
The slide show screen saver on Windows Vista is different to that on XP and after a while it shows the photos in black and white. Some of them look quite good in black and white and it has inspired me to play with some of my photos. How ironic is this? In the early 1960s I was desperate to move from my old-fashioned black and white Kodak 620 film on its spool to 35mm cassettes with their scope for colour transparencies and prints. And now I'm playing with black and white again. Wait long enough and everything comes back into fashion...
