Your useless fact of the day...

Most people know that the Big Apple is another name for New York but did you know that The Strawberry was once a nickname for London? It was so christened by the 18th century politician and writer Horace Walpole. He called it that because he considered it so fresh and clean compared to foreign cities. Not surprisingly the name is no longer used!
