This failure of scheduling to work is a real pain. It means that I go to bed at night vaguely hoping that at midnight my new posting will appear . It doesn't. So I got up very late this morning and it was 9 a.m. before I put the computer on. Seeing the scheduling hadn't worked I pressed edit and publish and my new posting appeared. However - two things then happen. Firstly it is shown as having published at midnight - a lie. Then on the sidebar of people who have Rambles on their sidebar it appears below everyone who has posted in the last eight hours and therefore has the potential for being missed by anyone who uses that sidebar to visit blogs.
I have tried everything I can think of and cannot fathom out why it is happening. My other blogs are working OK. How big do I have to write this -

I did wonder where the post had got to -- nothing to read with my first coffee of the day!
ReplyDeleteSuggestion as a maybe...
ReplyDeletehow about when you have put in the scheduled time, you must then click on 'save' and then click on publish.
I have only ever used it once, and i think this is how it is done.
Love Granny
If you figure out why this happens, I do hope you'll share it. I have been so frustrated with blogger lately I could scream.
ReplyDeleteThere are a couple of blogs that refuse to show in my sidebar, or in my reader, no matter how many times I enter them...and don't get me started on scheduled posts!
How annoying. I've just discovered the scheduling option and used it today for the first time.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos from your walks about....especially the birds.
We have lots and lots of foxgloves here too. I encourage them, as the deer don't eat them and they are a welcome shot of colour in an otherwise dark green landscape. When the go to seed I'm to be found running up and down the driveway scattering seed heads in the hope of more colour for the next year.
Thank you all. I have used scheduling for ages, Granny, and until recently it has been fine - that's what makes it so annoying. I'll try your way tonight and keep fingers crossed.
ReplyDeleteOh, you're right! I have missed several of your posts because I do use the sidebar to see who has posted recently. Your photos are great; I feel like I'm there. When you say the weather has been great, what is the temperature? I'm curious what the difference is.
ReplyDeleteAccording to GB's clever weather station the temperature outside is 20.1 C at the moment, Shabby Girl. That's at 4.30 pm. It was probably about 23C earlier on. That's plenty warm enough for me. Folk who are showing 33 - 40 (like The Archduchess ) have me fainting at the thought.
