Our Elephant Coffee Table

I have been meaning to introduce you to some of our ornaments and furniture and other bits and pieces; the things that help to make our house a home. But I keep forgetting! One of my resolutions for the New Year will be to show you some of them.

Here is my starter – my favourite coffee table. It belonged to Uncle Eric. When were sharing out his effects after his death GB let me have it. (We have the sort of relationship where if one of us liked something a lot the other wouldn’t dream of ‘competing’ for it so I have no idea if GB liked it or not. Either way I’m grateful to be able to give it a home.)

  1. Very nice end-table and memento. Wonderful when family can divvy things up amiably.

I'm picturing the piece of wood from which the elephant was carved. How does one carve an elephant? I've heard you just remove everything that doesn't look like an elephant.

I'll bet there is a larger lesson there.

    Thanks for sharing.
