Things a bloke is not allowed to say include “Objectively speaking she is beautiful.” (When talking about his new secretary).

  5. It would not matter to me, if you said that... I would probably agree!
    Of course, I am not your partner...and therein lies all of the difference.
    ;^)...So, you see, someone of the "fair" sex can appreciate that, but it cannot be one's partner.
    ;^)
    P.S. I just read in British Literature class that "fair" sex was originally a condescending term...(from Joseph Addison's "Spectator" and the rebuttal, by Eliza Haywood in the "Female Spectator" ---when the news periodicals first appeared on the scene in the 1600 and 1700's...)
    ;^)
    (Not trying to trap you here...just thought I'd point that out...as now, we take it as a compliment to be called "fair," if it is meant as pretty.
