I love Peacocks, when I was a child I used to make a special detour in the park just to see if I could catch him doing a display. At that time I swore it was the lady who had the lovely feathers.. wrong again and my brother was right, I learned later.
Over here there are some peacocks running wild in suburban neighbourhoods. The story is that they escaped from a local estate years ago and have managed to exist on their own ever since. Their screech is loud and instantly recognizable and they leave large calling cards! re your post on things that we get used to...when we moved here I vowed to repaint all the outside doors ASAP. They were a startling turquoise. Guess what - they're still that turquoise and I've come to accept it (that, or I'm very, very lazy!)
I have just had a marvellous tour through your many and varied and beautiful blogs looking for the meme. Not that it was wasted time...meme or no meme I am glad I've found you. Wonderful pictures and fun posts. As Arnold keeps on saying 'I'll be back!'
