Rhinomania
For the last couple of months Chester has had a collection of Rhinos scattered about the city - along the lines of the trend set by Liverpool with its superlambananas and penguins. We didn't see very many when we visited because the end date had gone by - in fact, in the cathedral, we saw one being carried off under someone's arm!
They are now gong to be auctioned so if you want a rhino you can go to Rhinomania and bid for one!
The above two -outside Chester Zoo - were far too large to be carried under someone's arm!

Great idea! I love towns that do this. Charleston periodically does sea turtles.
ReplyDeletePenguins last year Rhinos this you lot are getting very ambitious. How many years before Blue Whales? They are magical.
ReplyDeleteRaleigh, NC had the Red Wolf Ramble, over 100 Red Wolf statues placed around the city. My husband and I spent many weekends going on Wolf hunts so I could photograph them. I got almost all of them.
ReplyDeletemy goodness, how big are they?
ReplyDeleteThe two outside the Zoo are about two thirds full size but the indoor ones are about a third or a quarter size.
