Friday’s My Town Shoot-out - Aged and weathered

This Friday’s My Town Photo Shoot-out was chosen by and is ‘Aged and Weathered’. The topic was chosen by Pauline so why not pop down and visit her at the Paddock.

Ignoring Jo’s suggestion that a self-portrait would be in order, I struggled to find subjects because the weather and my health stopped me travelling more than a few yards. I could find plenty of old things but the weathered effect seems to be missing.

Even this 152 year old plaque on a house opposite ours looks in far better condition than many a new one.

So here is my less than satisfactory contribution for the week.

  1. Very cool photos. I especially love the cat. I wonder if the aged and weathered people knew why you were taking their photo? Heehe.

Thanks for sharing your town with us again.

  3. What wonderful condition some of your aged things are in! Is that why you didn't take Jo's advise and do a self portrait? (I must be careful with my humour, I am sometimes misunderstood!) I love that last shot of the tap, simplicity itself!

  12. Nice work! The cat is a one-of-a-kind! And I really like that old shovel with its weathered handle, but still plenty of use in it.

  18. You had a great post. I really like that shovel stuck in the ground. Like someone went off to have a glass of lemonade and never came back to finish their job!

  19. You could just see that lady in the wheel chair reaming
on the guy pushing her. His expression speaks volumes! Great capture! The old shovel looks like my garden tools!=D I'd finish commenting, but I've gone for lemonade. Well done!
