This Friday’s My Town Photo Shoot-out was chosen by and is ‘Aged and Weathered’. The topic was chosen by Pauline so why not pop down and visit her at the Paddock.
Ignoring Jo’s suggestion that a self-portrait would be in order, I struggled to find subjects because the weather and my health stopped me travelling more than a few yards. I could find plenty of old things but the weathered effect seems to be missing.
Even this 152 year old plaque on a house opposite ours looks in far better condition than many a new one.
So here is my less than satisfactory contribution for the week.

Very cool photos. I especially love the cat. I wonder if the aged and weathered people knew why you were taking their photo? Heehe.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your town with us again.
Very interesting pictures. I like the last one.
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful condition some of your aged things are in! Is that why you didn't take Jo's advise and do a self portrait? (I must be careful with my humour, I am sometimes misunderstood!) I love that last shot of the tap, simplicity itself!
ReplyDeleteYou always find the most INTERESTING THINGS to take photos of!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are always a winner in my book!
S.S.,
ReplyDeleteLove ALL of these photos! You did a great job on capturing the theme! ;^)
(Loved Jo's comment...glad I did not have anyone make that suggestion to me....)
;^)
Great rain drops and the aged ones are fine.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Patty. It's the cat for me.
ReplyDeletethese are fantastic! I like the cat one. have a great weekend and hope you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting collection you found here - weathering often improves an article's appeal.
ReplyDeleteYou've found some great shots to share with this theme!! I can't pick just one and say it's my favorite :)
ReplyDeleteLove all your shots. so interesting and well done!
ReplyDeleteNice work! The cat is a one-of-a-kind! And I really like that old shovel with its weathered handle, but still plenty of use in it.
ReplyDeleteYour choices are great! I'm coveting that wooden shovel/spade - it's beautiful.
ReplyDeletebut it's a great post, very interesting!
ReplyDeleteScriptor, nice variety and very interesting! You always have interesting stuff.
ReplyDeleteWhat are you talking about?
ReplyDeleteGREAT selection ..I really enjoyed them.
Fabulous job- I especially love the cat "planter" and the last one of the shovel. :)
ReplyDeleteYou had a great post. I really like that shovel stuck in the ground. Like someone went off to have a glass of lemonade and never came back to finish their job!
ReplyDeleteYou could just see that lady in the wheel chair reaming
ReplyDeleteon the guy pushing her. His expression speaks volumes! Great capture! The old shovel looks like my garden tools!=D I'd finish commenting, but I've gone for lemonade. Well done!
What fabulous photos you have posted...I have not seen wooden handles on shovels like that in a long while!
