A house without a cat

A house without a cat, and a well-fed, well-petted, and properly revered cat, may be a perfect house, perhaps, but how can it prove its title? If a house is to be a home, it needs a cat.

  1. Does a barn cat count? My daughter is terribly allergic to cats, so we can't have one indoors. I have a dog that could be a cat!

  2. I couldn't agree more. Glad you are in the land of pussycats again.

  3. I don't have a cat, but it gives me much pleasure to walk by a house and see a kitty sitting in the window. That says home.

  4. I so agree. Before Zebby took over my life I used to borrow my neighbours' cats for cuddles.

Zebbycat would agree only he's just snuggled down under his quilt for a snoozle, and he's far too busy feeling pampered and adored to notice.

    What a gorgeous looking Tabster!

  5. Pets are wonderful and add so much to our lives. We are currently without cat, but past felines have included Tookee, a white cat whose name I am told is one of the Inuit words for 'snow.' There was also Inker, an extremely inquisitive cat with what appeared to be a smudge of ink on his nose. When I was a girl, we had a cat named Old Grey Tom, who made his dislike for cigars apparent by burying one of my uncle's in the folds of the throw rug and giving my mother fits until she realised what it was!
