The colour purple
"I think it pisses God off when you walk by the colour purple in a field and don't notice it."
from The Colour Purple by Alice Walker. (Thanks to Spirits of Lena for this great quotation.)

Beautiful!
ReplyDeletePurple has always held a special place in my heart. For one thing, it's the school colour of both the high school and the university I attended.
ReplyDeleteYesterday I found the loveliest purple thistle growing along the edge of the road, picked a sprig and brought it home to put in a vase. A tiny reminder of Scotland, on a windowsill thousands of miles away.
Hope you and Jo are having a nice holiday.
Cheers! Canadian Chickadee
I know you aren't here, but thank you for this beautiful purple photo. Hope you are having a good trip home.
ReplyDeleteI think so, too. ;^) LOVE this one!!! ;^D
ReplyDeleteHi John,
ReplyDeleteTalking of purple - God must be thrilled with me 'cos all I have done lately is try and take pictures of the purple heather. You left a week too soon - the heather is beautiful at the moment - the best I have seen in the 6+ years we have lived on Lewis.
