Brazilian GP

This chap was at the side of the track for the Brazilian Grand Prix yesterday. he seemed to be enjoying the race! As always the Brazilian Grand Prix was one of the most exciting on the calendar and, as it has done for the last five years, it decided the World Championship.

During the race Jenson Button carried out more overtaking manoeuvres than we have seen from virtually all the other drivers during the whole season.

He won the World Driver’s Championship becoming the tenth Brit to do so. A remarkable achievement for the Brawn GP team in their first year as they also took the constructor's championship.

Button’s predecessors were Mike Hawthorne, Graham Hill, Jim Clark, John Surtees, Jackie Stewart, James Hunt, Nigel Mansell, Damon Hill and Lewis Hamilton.

But my award for sportsmanship goes to his team-mate and rival Rubens Barrichello who was among the first to congratulate him.

  1. Yes cheered me up. was beginning to wonder.
Good result after all the turmoil.
Cynic that I'm sometimes accused of being, just have a slight feeling it may be choreographed. Hope not.

  2. That is surely an unusual spectator for a Grand Prix!

  3. Wouldn't you think the noise of the passing cars would frighten the owl?
I had one on my roof yesterday morning, hooting.

  4. An excellent race and an excellent result. It would have been even better if Rubens had won the race and Jenson had won the championship. But, hey, we can't have everything.
