Our Lady of Walsingham

The image of Our Lady of Walsingham was brought to Liverpool Cathedral last Saturday.

The crowd gathers and the music plays.

The image is brought in through the great West doors.

The Procession heads to the East.

  1. How beautiful. England is blessed with so many lovely places of worship. One of my favourite places is the Cathedral of St. Albans, with its shrine to the man reputed to be Britain's first Christian martyr, and the tomb of the Black Prince in Canterbury. And how could we forget York Minster. But even small old churches have a special charm. Thanks for sharing another lovely post. Canadian Chickadee

  2. That was interesting to see and learn about (I read a bit in that link). I'm getting the feeling of travelling without the effort of actually doing so... Thanks!
