And you thought you had computer problems

SUPPORT: 'Hello Tech Support. How can I help you?'

LADY: 'Last night my computer started making a lot of hissing noise at me so I shut it down. This morning when I turned it on it started hissing and cracking, then started smoking and a bad smell, then nothing.'

SUPPORT: 'I'll have a technician come over first thing this morning, just leave the computer just like it is, so he can find the problem and fix it, or change it out with another computer. Give me your address and phone number and the technician will be there just as soon as he can.'

When the technician got there, the woman showed him
Where the computer was, said what happened to it. This is what the technician found wrong. You won't believe your eyes!!! !!

And you thought you had computer problems !!!

The technician told her: 'It must have been after the mouse!' The woman didn't think that was funny at all.

  2. Wow! That is the weirdest computer story I've ever read. I'm glad it wasn't me.

I thought it was something when I found a gecko inside the back of my TV-- many, many years ago in Florida. This beats that by a million miles.

  5. Nor do I think it was funny. Everyone knows that the mouse lives outside the CPU.

  6. AGH!!! This reminds me of a show I once watched where people in an apartment complex found a snake inside their toilet. Yes, they found it by way of sitting at the toilet. Apparently, someone in the building had this snake as a pet and it somehow had managed to get into the pipes, wandering through them until he found daylight.

Needless to say, it took me a few years NOT to check the toilet before sitting down :o)

(not that you really needed to know all of that....)

  8. That might just be the creepiest computer-related thing I ever heard. Thank heaven I live in Maine - nothing like this happens here! Too cold.

I guess your router problems seem a little bit less horrible now, don't they?

  9. Aaach, no! stay away from my computer! If you'ld lived in a desert climate, it would be more understandable, but you're in the UK! what other critters do you have in your yard? Just kidding - let's hope this is the end of it!

  10. I hope the fact that he's holding it with the screwdriver means that it was still alive.

  12. All I can think of as I look at this is...At least they actually figured out what the problem was and fixed the computer. It never goes that smoothly for me! :)

  13. I would have absolutely flipped out! That is the one creature on earth that I cannot stomach. My fear of snakes even has me so freaking stressed about walking from the deck to the hammock, which is less than 60 feet, that I will send the kids out ahead of me!
