I find Inn Signs fascinating. When I'm out and about with GB I usually end up photographing some and saying “One day I'm going to get all my inn sign photos together and do something with them”. Then the next time we're out and about together I say “One day I'm going to get all my inn sign photos together and do something with them”. And one day never comes.
But in the meantime, here are a couple from our visit to Chester.

it would make an entertaining post or more likely book.
ReplyDeleteI too love signs. I don't usually photograph them, but I love it when they have unusual pictures or names.
ReplyDeleteA pub on Pinhoe road recently had a name change to 'The Sorry Head'. No idea what that's supposed to mean, but it's certainly unusual.
They are both worth showing!
ReplyDeleteSee - "one day" has come closer by a fraction :-)
Oh, I like these. You know, signs really catch me when I'm out and about also.
ReplyDeleteYou don't even want to know how often I say those exact words...."One day I'm going to do something with...."
Oh, one day. I sure do hope that there will be one day, but I think it'll take more than one, rather, maybe....a year by then.
You must have enough of these for a book now CJ!
