There is a wonderful old chess set at Burghley House with carved ivory Chinnese export figures, dating from about 1860, but one of the Queens is a modern replacement carved out of a piece of old ivory to replace a missing piece.
How is it possible to spot it? By the mobile phone in the kimono sash!
