More missing socks

This is where a lot of people think socks go!

But where do odd socks really go and why does my sock drawer look like this?

Maybe these are some of the answers…

He obviously forgot the advice he was given on the way in...

Along with all these others.

But some don't just hang around.

  1. Poor socks :-)
I know it sounds strange, but I honestly have not once in my life lost a sock... yet.

    1. I believe you Meike. You are far too organised (and I'm sure you only buy obedient socks).

  3. My hubby and I thought we'd had it all figured out with buying him only black socks, but no, there are soooo many shades of black!

  4. Funny post!
But it is even worst when a sock you don't necognise, nor your partner, appears (alone!) in your drawer. It happened some years ago, and we are still wondering about.

    1. You think that's bad, Eva. imagine what it's like when a pair of knickers appears in the dryer in similar circumstances...... I'm glad I have a son in his twenties that I can blame.

  5. Really cute and funny...I tend to think the lost socks make a getaway plan the night before wash day...they're probably tired of hanging around on feet stuck in a shoe, and I totally understand and sympathize.

  6. So true cartoons! Also we are loosing socks for unknown reasons to unknown places...
    Great pictues, thank you, John!

Here in NL there's an artist who created the 'Wailing Wall for lonely socks' a few years ago.
She posted an advertisement in the local paper to ask the people for lonely socks, and she got very, very much!
I gave her also socks, among them my kids' single Sponge Bob sock. But this one I didn't see back in het artwork.

    1. Wow! That is fantastic - both the idea and the execution of it.
