The mice are back in our kitchen. Time to get out the traps that capture them without hurting thrm. There's a nice hedgerow a mile away just waiting for some new inhabitants.,
Ah.... it is now officially Spring, and I await the dreaded yearly march of the ants from the base of the house into my kitchen. I am not sure which is worse - mice, or ants? I have three cats, but they won't chase ants away...
Did you hear about the churches having trouble with squirrels? One church said the squirrels were the Lord's creatures, too, and left them alone, and they got into the attic and caused a lot of damage. One had them humanely trapped and relocated, but they came back.
The third had them baptized and made church members, now they only see them at Christmas and Easter.
Some say the synagogue was also having trouble with squirrels, but when they decided to also go the membership route and did the first circumcision, the rest of the squirrels left and never came back.
Hi John! I think those mice might just be finding their way back to your home! You're so kind to not hurt them. I can't believe your sweet kitties haven't caught them! Have a good week!

ReplyDeleteAnts are worse. We've had a few ant invasions but mainly in previous houses, I'm glad to say.
DeleteThat reminds me - we have not seen any pictures of your cats in a long time!
ReplyDeleteI tend to put most of my day to day photos on instagram nowadays. I must blog more frequently.
DeleteThe mice should be leaving at this time of year not entering!
ReplyDeleteThey haven't read the same books as you.
DeleteSadly, we catch our mice the old fashioned way, but do toss them into the woods where they are usually found by others and eaten.
ReplyDeleteThat's the kind way to deal with them.

Brilliant!
DeleteWhere are your cats? Don't they know they should be super mice exterminators?
