Question

Why do our cats always have a mad half hour and often attack  each other immediately after breakfast and yet live in harmony for most of the rest of the day.

  1. It's called going CrackerCat and it's in their contracts that it's allowed each day, time to be determined by them.

    1. The problem is our cats won't let us read their contracts. All we are allowed to do is see the heading - 'The Training of Humans'.

  2. Right after breakfast, it's playtime! Cats are crepuscular, meaning most active at dawn and dusk, when their prey is most active. Since your cats don't have to hunt for the kibble, they have that extra energy/prey drive, and nothing to do with it, so they play fight each other. At least, that's my understanding, and i'm not a cat expert, just a human owned by cats.

    1. You should have written 'owned by lots of cats'! You are the humans best allowed to understand the workings of the cat mind - or what they want us to believe.

  3. Our cats were the same. Messymimi's explanation makes perfect sense.
