To satisfy complaints...

“Where are pictures of Annabel and Mac?” I hear you all cry.  "We haven't seen them for ages."

Thanks to Partner-who-loves-tea being very quick off the mark the first occasion on which Mac allowed himself to be cuddled (other than by Richard) was caught on camera the other day.  He is happy to be stroked and to sit alongside P-w-l-t on the sofa but he will not sit on our laps.  Annabel, by contrast is a lapcat.

She is also a JEALOUS little minx and as soon as she saw Mac on my lap she was up there declaring war with her little green eyes.  At half his weight and size she didn’t get very far!

So she settled for joining him.

  1. A milestone for Mac! And for Annabel - so far, she has not had to share your lap with anyone... But thankfully, there is always enough room for two cats :-)

  3. Lovely! There's always room on the lap for two cats, isn't there?

  4. I have three cats, two of which like to sit in my lap. At times they have a boxing match, during which the cat in the lap deploys his climbing gear. Ouch!

  5. There's nothing quite a soothing as a purring cat your lap ... unless it's two cats! You all look wonderfully content! xo Silke

  8. I wonder what he wanted? Cynical about cats? Me? Perish the thought.

  9. Awww, so lovely to see both of them there. My cat is not really a lapcat either, although she loves to cuddle up next to my legs - so it's all the more special when she does cuddle up.

  11. I was some concerned when you adopted the two older cats and wondered how they'd settle in a new environment. Also wondered how you and p-w-l-t would enjoy them in your environment! I'm so pleased to see you all are doing well and everyone seems quite comfy.

  12. Not a single complaint from me...these photos are adorable.
Just to let you know that more folks in my circle of friends ask about Brownie more than me....smile.

  13. Love that first photo, it belongs on a calendar or something!
And I have to smile reading Jenny Woolf's comment above, she must have never had two cats living together!
