I'd never heard of him either, Mieke but this post makes me wish I had. It sounds as if I missed out on something good here. And what a great statue, and how nice that his fan club still exists, and wants to keep his memory and music alive.
I must admit that I did not know who Billy Fury was either....see why I like this blog? I learn lots of new stuff. He reminds me of Elvis too. Thanks CJ.

Love the statue--I can feel the movement and it makes me smile.
ReplyDeleteFirst time ever I hear of Billy Fury. Strange, really, since I do so like the music of the 1950s and 60s.

ReplyDeleteLooks a little like Elvis!
ReplyDeleteI don't know much about him but I do know "Once Upon A Dream". Forty two is far too young to die.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your visit to my blog. It is nice to "meet" you!
Never heard of him (looks like an Elvis type though) - off to Google!
