Broad-bodied Chasers

I've been looking at some of my old natural history photos.  I decided to share some of them with you.  These are Broad-bodied Chaser dragonflies.  The blue one is the male.

    Fascinating creatures! They are fun to watch as the dart around a garden.

    Wow! Sat right on your hand! A bit scary looking (I prefer the gracile, thin dragonflies) but wonderful you are able to get so close and get these photos!
