    Well I do know that screech owls eat over a hundred Fifty songbirds a season, and I love screech owls in spite of that.

    Well, the screech owl thing makes sense. If you think of an owl wanting at least one meal every day, a small songbird would be just that one meal. 150 does not even cover half a year's meal for the owl.
