  1. So sorry for your loss, and that of your family, CJ. Dealing with loss, or the possibility of loss is always so difficult.

Today my daughter and I were discussing the way in which her two daughters worry about the health of us older ones.

We decided that it was because Sam is an orphan and lost her father many years ago and her birth mother to breast cancer four years. Also Arlene's husband Mike has had two serious cardiac incidents which makes Eryn feel vulnerable.

So even though the girls are only 20 and 22, they've seen first hand the sort of things which can happen, and thus take the care and feeding of we oldsters very seriously. Which is both lovely -- and a bit disconcerting!

  2. I'm so sorry for the loss of their son. My nephew passed away in a car accident in 2004 at age 18. We were all devastated. My Sister puts on a brave front and tries to go about moving forward in life. Even though 8yrs have passed, it's the holidays, weddings, family gatherings where we all feel that something is missing. I don't think that ever goes away.

  3. It must be very sad to lose a child at any age. Somehow it always feels like the wrong order of things... My sympathies! ♥

  4. I think to lose a child must be the most terrible hurt in the world. My condolences to them and you.
