It's very possible i'm going to be using your friend McGregrr's comment, with citation of course, a lot in the future. That last one made me laugh!
ReplyDeleteMcGregrr's comment, in an e-mail, had my eyes watering!
DeleteI think I would have enjoyed talking to J B Priestley! :)
ReplyDelete|have you ever played the game where you can have a dinner party of people (alive or dead) and you have to choose them and explain why? When I was in my thirties Priestley was one of my chosen guests. I loved the common sense humour in The Good Companions and the fact that he was a founder member of CND.
DeleteOh, these are all really good :)
ReplyDeleteI like them!
ReplyDeleteThat was just the smile I needed this morning. The Liverpool made me laugh! Have a great week!! xo Silke
ReplyDeleteLovely! LOL xoxox
ReplyDeleteI love quotes but wish I could be more organized about saving them. Here's another: “In three words I can sum up everything I’ve learned about life: It goes on." Robert Frost
ReplyDeleteThanks for the smiles! I'm using the "kidney bank" quote in surgery tomorrow! Hope all is well with you John....Your sense of humor seems to be in good health! Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteGreat quotes John! I like Priestley's the best. Either way one gets the wrong end of the stick! Chuckles!
ReplyDeleteHank

ReplyDeleteGreat quotes, John. Love your friends one, so true for me, too. Hope you are well.
