A Frosty Morning

I'm glad it's not me going out this morning!

A most strange phenomenon - it wasn't snowing and there was no visible sign of frost in the air itself but the camera obviously picked up all the little frost particles in the air.

A flock of Long-tailed Tits appeared in the back garden. It's the first time we have had Long-tailed Tits here. Unfortunately it was still quite dark in the back garden and the windows need cleaning!

There's always a Robin around in this weather.

And a Blackbird whatever the weather.

This line is not a wire but the remains of a spider's web.

The Cotoneaster berries look good against the frost.

The icy-frost covered tree, so magical as if out of a fairy tale no less.....
The little birds know where to get the all you can eat buffet !
    Stay warm and cozy inside...

  2. The cotoneaster berry picture with the spiky crystals is my favourite of this series. Yes, it's best on a day like this to stay in, if you do not have to go out.
We've had sleet and rain all day yesterday, and the world has turned into brown slush and mud. Not very nice.

  4. Fantastic photographs. What beautiful frost and that spiders web is amazing.

I thought our frost was thick, but it's nothing like yours - none on the trees at all.

  6. Your frost-laden trees remind me of the ice storms we had in the south during winter. Beautiful photos.
