Jo stayed with her friend Sue at the week-end. Not surprisingly they went out shopping and Jo added three pairs of shoes to her collection...
New shoes, new shoes,
Red and pink and blue shoes,
Tell me which would you choose,
If they'd let us buy?
Buckle shoes, bow shoes,
Pretty pointed toe shoes,
Snappy, cappy, low shoes
Let's have some to try.
Bright shoes, white shoes,
Dainty dance by night shoes,
Just a little tight shoes.
Like some? So would I.
Flat shoes, fat shoes,
Stump along like that shoes,
Wipe them on the mat shoes,
That's the sort they'll buy.

I may be the only female alive who hates shoe shopping! When I die they'll stick me in a museum.
ReplyDeleteA woman can never have too many shoes.

(Or flip-flops...) (Do you call them flip-flops in England...or do you have them?) We also used to call them "thongs" when I was a kid...they are inexpensive, sandal-like...you can't really call them "shoes." They have a rubber sole and a plastic strip at the top that fits between the "big" and second toe...
Anyway...kids love them because they are open, un-restrictive, and easy to slip on...and they have grown into a teen and adult obsession here in the summer. You can buy them in every color under the rainbow and more...I even have a sparkly, silver pair!
;^)
Fun!
