At the kitchen table

It has been a very mixed week weather-wise as GB has mentioned in his blog.  As I began drafting this post it was cold and very windy.  Now it is muggy and cloudy and if one stepped outside the front door one could commit suicide by midges!  Fortunately GB keeps his windows spotless so taking photos through them is quite acceptable.

GB and I share the kitchen table for blogging and, this weekend, watching Wimbledon and the British F1 Grand Prix.

When the weather is clear you can see the mainland mountains.

  1. Talking of spotless windows I shall have to go and clean the conservatory ones before everyone comes for dinner this evening. The seagulls seem to have been using it for bombing practice.

  2. Watch you don't catch a chill. I love the misty silhouette.

  3. That view really is amazing and never the same even when it's the same ;) Nice change for us to see GB himself in front of it though!

  4. That view could convince me to do nothing but stand and do dishes all day. Actually, no. I'd be outside heading for the shore, midges be damned!

  6. The cloudy headland picture is my absolute favourite of this set, although I am very much a fan if sunsets. Suicide by midges is certainly not the method I'd choose...!

  9. Thank heavens for those clean windows, these are beautiful shots. I love the one of the mist and the headland, so mystical and moody. I've been watching Wimbledon, too. The telecast starts at midnight so I'm going to have to miss a couple of nights to catch up on sleep or I will whacked before the finals.

  10. Thank you. I love the words, the pictures, the thoughts, the glimpses of life. I'm a fellow multi-blogger who seldom travels any more except vicariously through generous sharers, like you. It's like a breath of fresh air to receive your posts, CJ. You don't just survive, you thrive. Blessings, Bette Cox, Florence, SC, USA www.bettecox.com

  12. Been catching up on some of your Google site John and particularly enjoying Lewis. Then I found myself here on your 'normal' blog site.
