The adventures of Ivy

I know some of you will have missed the adventures of Ivy during the time I was poorly so here are a few images from May.

“I wonder how high up that tree I could get?”

“OK, I’m stranded but I’m going to pretend I’m not – for a while at least!”

“All right.  I admit it.  I’m stuck up here.”

“What do you mean ‘Jump’ – it’s a long way down there.”

“Can I get down this way, do you think?  It’s not very helpful – you just standing there with the camera waiting for me to fall.”

"OK, I’ve fallen off – are you satisfied now?”

"I suppose you think this is funny!"

“When embarrassed clean yourself,  that’s what we cats do.”

“I think I’ll just sit it out for a while.”

  1. How wonderful climbing pictures of Ivy!
Isn't it funny, that cats always really start to clean themselves when they are a bit embarassed! :)
By the way, I found the answer for your musical instrument question. It's available in my blog. :)

  2. Ivy has a story to tell, that is for sure, and cats do groom when they are embarrassed. Ivy looks very panther like.

So did you help her down or not? Poor dear.
The adventures of Ivy sounds so much like a children's book...hint, hint.

  5. Ivy, you little stinker! Those pics of her are adorable and funny! I'm glad she made it down safe...but cats are resourceful that way. How else could they have those nine lives!

  7. Very typical :-) Did she get down on her own in the end, or did you help?

    1. I think she was for a moment despite being only three feet off the ground at that stage! But she was soon OK agasin - just embarassed.

  10. It's not so much Ivy, John! It takes lots of patience and cajoling when it comes to cats. Apparently cats are more difficult to train than dogs. Thanks for sharing!

  11. Delightful post and photos! I used to have black cats...the first two black cats I got were in 1988, they were two months old...they were twins (brother and sister from the same litter). The male, sadly, died two years later of jaundice. Fortunately his sister was with me and lived for 14 years. They were the sweetest cats I had ever had. Your cat is lovely, thank you so much for sharing.
