Friday My Town Shoot-out - Macro

This week's subject for the Friday My Town Shoot-out is "macro" chosen by JarieLyn

I think some of these should more properly be called close-ups rather than macro but I trust you'll forgive me. I'm also sorry that there is not much of a 'my town' flavour about them. My imagination was not up to scratch this week.

Why not check out other people's my town shoot-outs this week.

  1. The last one is so refreshing! I love taking shots of water droplets.

  2. My imagination is sleepy today too. But I like these -- particurly the water droplets on leaves and buds. I'm not quite sure I know the difference between macro and close-up anyhow.

  3. I like that first one with the waterdrop - or is it ice? Can't quite figure out which...

  4. I think you got the macro on several of them, wherever you got them. I am not completely sure I got it or not. Will keep on trying of course. Great job.

  5. I really love your macros. I am getting all flustered this week. My friend Reya from Washington DC put pictures of tulips on her page the other day while Toronto is getting buried "knee deep" in snow. Their cherry blossoms come out in early March... she say April, but they always have a Presidential shot of cherry blossoms on the White House lawn way earlier than April... now here YOU are Scriptor, with the buds!!!!!! My trees are snoring. I'd have to take the hair dryer out to blow the snow off to see the buds encapsulated in ice!!! If all this sounds like I am jealous of your early spring well, yes I am! This is a beautiful shoot, the details are stunning and the macro of the Queen is on the money. =D

  6. To my mind there is nothing in the world more exquisite than a drop of water, and you have captured that so well, twice. Beautiful.

  8. I think that last shot is perfect! Even on an unimaginative day, you produce the goods! I'm lethargic from the heat but there is a cooling breeze today so might head out on a "weird" expedition.
