A good few years ago I came across a couple of books which suggested there were certain weather patterns which could be discerned in Britain despite the apparent random and unpredictable nature of our climate.
This was a note I made at the time. For a few years I monitored the weather and whilst the list was not wholly reliable it was actually a much better guide than I (cynically) had anticipated. It would be interesting to do the same for the next few years to see how much climate change has affected the dates.
