A Veiled Chameleon
We went to the garden centre in Stornoway yesteday (where the saga of the weather vane continued) I spent a happy few minutes photographing the Chinchilla and a Veiled Chameleon (Chamaeleo calyptratus), also known as the Yemen Chameleon. Far from objecting to me taking photos - as some shops would - the shop owner not only opened the Chameleon’s door but also tried to get it to eat a Locust for me! It wasn’t hungry… Lucky locust (for now).
