About blogging again

I’ve run out of labels on this blog. Did you know Google only allows a blog to have 2000 labels. Apparently I have run out so in future any time I try to add a new label to anything I will have to delete an old one - unless the label is one I have already used. Except I tried that – I deleted about twenty and then found it still said I had too many so in future I shall not bother labelling my postings. After all, the search facility doesn’t pick up words in the label so I guess it doesn’t matter.


In the meantime I have started a new blog. Oh, No. Not another one! Yes. But really it is simply a splitting up of my Pensby Blog. I have decided in future to keep my Pensby one to my garden – the plants and wildlife. This new one is about The Wirral with occasional excursions around the rest of Merseyside.

 

Blog Labels

Did you know that when you search a blog for a particular posting the search does not look at the labels? I got very confused the other day when a search for "2007" in my Exeter blog failed to turn up my posting about "Last Year in Exeter". I knew I had put 2007 in the labels. In fact I had put both "2007" and "Exeter 2007". But all I got was "No posts match your query." So, if you want to be able to find a post by a particular word make sure you put it in the text.
