Well, that sucks! Hope your favorite pastime is back up and running again in no time.
ReplyDeleteI was sending a few last-minute things out the other day, and the postal worker informed me that they could charge me $26 to send something overnight, but it wasn't guaranteed to get there overnight.
Just read that again. Slowly.
Needless to say, I took a cheaper option for the thing to get there late.
Ì wonder if the $26 option included carrier pigeons and they fear hawks?

DeleteI hope that isn't true. I suspect that once they sort out the poor fellows sitting in their lorries in Kent, airmail will resume. Supermarkets are said to be chartering cargo planes to get produce in and out of the country because the roads are so jammed.

ReplyDeleteYes thank you Jenny. We seemed to get plenty of cards and I think it is mainly cards from the UK to other countries that are affected. Perhaps it will settle in the New Year.
