In the US, it is estimated that 70% of those who qualify as disabled under the Americans With Disabilities Act do not use any form of assistance device, making it impossible to tell just by looking if someone really is disabled.
It’s one reason i try not to assume or presume if someone is using a disabled placard and does not immediately “appear” disabled. It might well be a hidden disability, so i reserve judgment.
