Do you remember?
I assume there was a Schoolgirl's equivalent of this. I think the Schoolboy's one was first published in 1953 and for a couple of years in the 1950s it was my version of the Encyclopedia Britannica....

I still have mine and have blogged about it several times I think. Particularly as I used it to learn things like the Greek alphabet. The Girls version was blue. The boys version was first published in 1951 and mine is a 1953 6th reprint. The Girls version was first published in 1952 and mine is the 1958 reprint.
