My In-box is growing, even as I write.

If you have e-mailed me recently and are wondering if I am ever going to reply I can only excuse myself by saying I’ve been poorly.  There are 35 e-mails in my in-box.  That is 35 I have perused, not new ones (presumably the in-box is growing even as I write this).  All 35 need action of some sort- website renewal, changes to my BT Broadband and Yahoo accounts, driving licence renewal (and that's a long story in itself), E-bay telling me I haven’t used my account so it’s going to be deleted (I had forgotten I’ve got two accounts – must rescue it), and lots of personal ones…

I have decided that if I don’t go to bed between now and the end of August I might just about catch up with the jobs I have to do, the e-mails, the blogging, the decorating, the gardening, etc. etc. That is assuming no more jobs come in during that period.  I really don’t understand where the time goes.

In the meantime, so you don’t start e-mailing me to ask in the catten is well –

“It's a hard life being a cat and lying here all day between meals. You want the newspaper – that’s your hard luck, I’m not moving!”

"Warmth and sunshine, at last, let's have a good roll."

"How did I end up with my nose under here?"

"I suppose I have to accept being cuddled sometimes."

  1. Ivy looks wonderfully happy to be outdoors in your pretty garden! The work never ends and I say just take it one day at a time and don't stress over the chores that need done. They will wait as will your loyal followers and emailers! Have a good weekend and I hope you're feeling better soon!

    Get well.

    1. When P-w-l-t and I discuss what we are going to do with the millions we are going to win on the Lottery a secretary and a handy person are always the first two items on the list, Adrian!

  4. Thanks for the Ivy-update! Yes, a tough life it must be indeed... :-)
Blogging should be the least important thing on your job list - actually, it should not be considered a "job" at all, but something you do for pleasure, when you have time and really feel like it. Now, that should reduce your list a fair bit!

  6. Don't get me started on all the "to do" emails that are hanging out in my Inbox...there's even one from you that I need to respond to..forgive me.
It can be quite overwhelming sometimes, especially when other aspects of your life are taking over.
A big THANK YOU for Ivy photos...I just love her.

  9. So sorry to hear you haven't been well. I hope all is well now.
The emails can be a bit of a chore. Sometimes, it's hard to find one which is actually from a person not a company or a machine!

I love the photos of little Ivy too. And be sure to tell Jo how much I like her beautiful red sweater.

    Love all, Carol

  10. Some days a like that. As for blogging I suspect a lot of us go through a period of confusion this time of year, when the Outdoors is beginning to call for our attention again. On the one hand there is MORE to blog about and on the other hand LESS time to do the actual blogging!

  11. Perhaps you should follow Ivy's example and just relax all day. Hope you are feeling better.

  12. Thank you for finding time to blog anyway, and I don't envy you with a box full of emails like that. Dreary officialdom. Ugh! Better to lie in the sun - cats have the right idea.

  13. Oh my, your cat looks so much like Minnie, our cat that is no longer with us. Solid black and with those burning green eyes.

  14. My anthem of the day "where on earth does the time go" "How can it pass by so quickly"

I'm struggling with over 200 E-mails in my in-box. Too much to do and too little time. A friend from Texas left this quote when visiting once.
"God put me on this earth to accomplish a certain number of things.
Right now I am so far behind I will never die"
