Once in my life (at the age of 11)...Great pictures. Once in my life (at the age of 11) I went on a girl scouts camp. Not quite as big as the one you're describing. In my case, rain turning the ground into a quagmire DID dampen my spirits a good deal. I was never tempted to repeat the experience.
