Oh, Guy Fawkes night... thanks for the reminder of this British tradition... Familiar to me through literature (and British history) only! I think my earliest contact with it was through Richmal Crompton's books about William! And then there is an Agatha Christie / Hercule Poirot mystery where bonfire night plays an integral part, Murder in the Mews.
